Your Naim network player can be connected to your network via either a wired or wireless connection.

For a true wired network connectionyou should connect the Ethernet socket on the rear panel to a spare Ethernet socket on your network router.

You can use also use Ethernet-over-mains devices such as Homeplugs which provide a simple and convenient method of wired home network connection. However depending on the quality of your mains you may find that transmitting network data on the mains supply may compromise overall system sound quality. If this is the case you should use a wired Ethernet connection or use wireless networking as discussed below.

In either of these cases you do not require any network security details to connect to the network.

If you want to connect wirelessly to the home network the supplied Wi-Fi antenna must be fitted to the rear panel wireless antenna socket.  You should then configure your Naim network player to connect to the wireless network as follows:

Select ‘Network Settings’ in the Setup menu using your remote handset

Select ‘Wireless’

Scroll down to the network you wish to join (which if more than one network is available must be the same network as your NAS or computer running a UPnP server) and select ‘OK’ on your remote.

Enter the network password using the number keys as you would a text message.

Select ‘OK’.

The networking will restart and should confirm that the network has been joined with the message ‘Connected – Press OK to finish’.
